Four counties, one route board: how Suwannee Valley calls get grouped
Palm Coast's Fairmont Lane is where Cook's keeps its trucks, 144 miles from the courthouse square. Everything on this page is about how that distance is managed so your arrival window is real.

The spine: exit 283, US 90 and US 129
Live Oak sits where US 90 and US 129 cross just south of I-10, and that intersection is how the route is built. The city itself, with ZIPs 32060 and 32064, is the anchor: downtown bungalows around Ohio Avenue and Howard Street, Sherwood Forest and River Woods inside the limits, the Heritage Park side on the north, and the gated one-acre communities west of town. FPL serves inside the city, Wellborn and Houston; the co-op serves nearly everything else, which the dispatcher asks about because it tells us what kind of house to expect.
The river towns
South on US 129 and down CR 250 are the places the Suwannee defines: Suwannee Springs just north of town, Dowling Park with its large senior campus, Luraville by the cave-diving springs, O’Brien, McAlpin, and Branford at the US 27 crossing, with Three Rivers Estates and the other riverfront subdivisions below it. These stops share two things: well-and-septic lots and a flood history. Equipment elevation comes up on nearly every install.
North and west: the county seats
Jasper and Jennings in Hamilton County lie up US 129 and US 41 toward the Georgia line. Madison is west on US 90. Mayo, the Lafayette County seat, is southwest via US 27 and SR 51, with Buckville and the farm country around Day folded in. Each of these is a longer leg, and the dispatcher adds that time out loud; what they share with Live Oak is the same housing mix, the same co-op power and the same two-week outages after a storm like Idalia.
East on US 90
Wellborn, about eleven miles out, is acreage homesteads and manufactured homes in Beulah Vista Estates and Suwannee Woodlands, on FPL power despite the rural setting. It’s grouped with Live Oak stops because the drive between them is short.
What the grouping means for you
A Suwannee Valley day is assembled from several of these stops, so a truck is frequently closer than the headquarters figure suggests. When it isn’t, you’re told. An emergency call at 3 a.m. is dispatched and billed like one at 3 p.m., and the drive is added honestly rather than hidden. The area tiles below go deeper on each place.
Coverage questions from the valley
Is Buckville really on your list? There's nothing there.
It is, as part of the Mayo and Lafayette County cluster. Places with no services of their own are exactly where a company willing to drive matters, and a call from near Day or Alton is routed with the Mayo stops.
Do the river towns get served after a flood, or do you wait?
We come as soon as the roads are open and the power is safe. Flooded equipment at Suwannee Springs or Branford shouldn’t be powered up untested, so the first visit is an inspection, and we’ll put findings in writing for your adjuster.
How often is a truck actually in Suwannee County?
Often enough that the route exists on the dispatch board rather than being improvised. The honest answer varies by week, and the dispatcher will tell you whether a truck is already in the valley when you call.
