Where an offer comes from

Every Cook’s promotion starts in the same office at 37 Fairmont Ln and applies on every route the company runs, including the one up I-10 to Suwannee County. There is no regional manager inventing a Live Oak special, which means there’s also no bait that evaporates when you mention your address. What’s offered is written down, carries an end date, and is printed on your estimate.

When Suwannee County tends to see one

Shoulder seasons. March and April, when the pollen is down, the days are mild and nobody is thinking about the compressor yet. October and November, after the last hot week and before the first frost. Those are the weeks the schedule has room, so a tune-up or an early replacement is worth encouraging with a discount. July is not when offers appear, because July is when every truck is already spoken for.

What never changes, offer or not

Emergency service runs around the clock with no after-hours charge. Estimates on new systems are free. Financing with low monthly payments is available on new high-efficiency equipment whether or not a special is running. And we will not run a “storm special” after a hurricane. The week after Idalia, when the co-op was restringing 1,100 poles and generators were killing compressors across the county, the right price was the regular price.

What’s on the board right now

Current offers, with dates and conditions, are set by the office; the dispatcher has the live list and will read it to you when you call. [[CONFIRM WITH JERRY]]

How to use one well

The best use of a shoulder-season offer in this county is the system that limped through last August. A 1980s ranch in Sherwood Forest with a unit on its second compressor, or a manufactured home whose package unit never quite catches up on a 94-degree day, is a replacement that should happen in April on your terms rather than in July on the weather’s. Pair the offer with a free estimate and the monthly figure, and decide with the windows open.

How offers work out here

Do offers apply in the county, or only to addresses inside Live Oak?

Everywhere on our Suwannee County route, from the city subdivisions to acreage near McAlpin or a river lot toward Branford. An offer is about the equipment or the service, not the ZIP.

Can I stack an offer with the FPL rebate?

If you’re an FPL customer in town, Wellborn or Houston and the system qualifies, the utility’s instant credit is separate from anything we run, so in principle both apply. Ask whether Cook’s is currently an enrolled contractor for that program. [[CONFIRM WITH JERRY]]

Will you honor a special I saw after the date passed?

If the estimate was written while the offer was live, the offer stays on the estimate. If you’re calling after the window closed, we’ll tell you what’s running now rather than bend a date.
